About Us

Home is wherever we are together...

Olliewoods Oasis is owned and loved by Ollie and Paula Oliver.

Paula is a life-longTexan who has lived in San Antonio her entire life and Ollie is a native Cheesehead who made it to Texas as fast as he could!

Paula and Ollie's welcoming, friendly, relaxed vibe is at the heart of Olliewoods. Often called "People Collectors," their love of Jesus and bringing people together is reflected in the space they've created. Their laughter and fun are contagious, giving the space a groovy atmosphere.

How It All Started

One Backyard. One Camper. One Unexpected Adventure.

We've always loved being together, being home, and camping. Back in the early '90s, our camping setup was about as primitive as it gets. Armed with a suitcase-sized jam box that ate D-sized batteries like candy but cranked out the jams, and meals cooked over a homemade campfire with nothing more than a grill grate tossed on top, we were in heaven.

Fast forward 30 years, and we had our sweet little Ruby but couldn't seem to get her out of the driveway, much less to a campsite. One weekend, feeling that familiar itch to camp, Ollie said, "Let's put Ruby in the backyard, face her toward the park, and pretend." We had so much fun, we left everything set up to go camping again the next weekend. Our neighbors thought we were nuts - and even asked if we needed a place to stay!  But little did we know, God was just getting started. Looking back, we can see He was writing a much bigger story than we ever imagined. What began as camping in our own backyard became the first chapter of the story that would eventually become Olliewoods Oasis.

Stay Trippy Little Hippie

Life moves fast. We hope Olliewoods becomes one of those places where you slow down, laugh a little more, and spend time with the people who matter most. If you leave with a few great memories and a reason to come back, we'd call that a pretty groovy day.

“The time that you enjoyed wasting is never wasted time.”
