Autobahn Churches
Germany's autobahn network famously has few speed limits. It's also the only road system in Europe with its own dedicated
series of churches, for those drivers who may feel the need for peace and prayer.
There are nearly 40 autobahn churches and chapels across the country, and more than
a million people visit them each year. I became fascinated by the relationship between petrol and religion, and speed and contemplation.
